No such thing as political-correctness in the 1950s. There was a better phrase back then, and it was called good manners. Being well-behaved and demonstrating good manners has a different connotation than being politically correct.
Homosexuals have always existed but there was a time when they kept their desires and actions in the closet, and didn't throw them in people's faces.
Where have I been? Married, raising two wonderful children, working for a living, being active in my church, and living a clean decent drug-free moral life.

I would say that you were lovingly created by your parents, but if you want to believe god created you, have at it. Anyways, the only real difference between now and the 1950s is sensationalist media, and people being a little more open with what they're doing, and realizing that they don't have to go to church to lead good lives.
Outside of that, everything's pretty much the same.

Well, in my eyes, someone who villifies others, based on his own narrow view of morality, is an immoral person himself.
BTW, the only difference between the political correctness of the '50s and that of today, is that it was the majority who were kept from being offended in the '50s. Today, that has been expanded to include minorities.
