Are most Liberals wimpy, ultra sensitive and effeminate? Our radio station makes fun of Liberals all the time and they even have a character that represents this type of stereotypical Liberal. He wears a turtle neck, he is a regular at Starbucks, he calls movies "films" and I can't help but think that he is definitely gay(or at least bisexual). What is your opinion?

The liberal men that I know and associate with are Vietnam Veterans, union members (iron workers in particular), athletic, and tend to not to take a lot of BS off effeminate draft dodging chicken hawk Republicans.

But that's just me.

WOW - so I guess that makes you (republican males) small-town dwelling, guns-n-bible clinging, Wal-Mart clad, 1970s Cevy pickup truck driving, KKK, southern, toothless, redneck, uneducated, lower-class hunters?

Well, at least that's what popular stereotypes portray GOP men as.

What's your opinion?

I am really LOL. But to the OP you may have a point there. As i have gotten older, 42 now and a christian, I tend to side on things that go along with the bible, so in a sense that makes me a conservative, but on some issues I am still leaning against the fence---stem cell research is one.

I wonder what is the percentage of conservative gay males over liberal?

Create all of the imaginary sterotypical images you want. The right-wing has Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter to represent them. They're all too real.

I think you described a non-poor urbanite. You forgot the man bags, the clear nail polish, the whining, the sprayed styled haircut, the arugula and the sissy shoes with tassels. It just happens to be that there are more non-poor liberals in big cities but I assure you, that moderate non-poor Republicans living in NYC or DC, for example, all fit the same profile. You automatically think Bill Maher or Harry Reid type. But conservatives Charles Krauthammer or Bill Kristol fit that description, too. So does Obama. It's not a gay thing. It's a wussy urbanite thing.

At least Bill Clinton was beefy. I like that other beefy guy Democrat, too - Bob Beckel. Both have blue collar appeal. If the Dems nominate a beefy conservative blue collar type I might vote for them over a wussy urban scrawny moderate Republican.

In the last three presidential elections, exit polls have shown about 25% of those who identify as gay as having voted for the Republican candidate.

Local Exit Polls - Election Center 2008 - Elections & Politics from CNN.com (scroll about 2/3 down the page)

I like to mention this because a lot of folks think that all gays are liberal activists. That's far from the reality.
