Former Vice President Dick Cheney has shown little affection recently for his old Bush
Administration colleague Colin Powell. Asked to choose between the one-time
Secretary of State and talk radio host Rush Limbaugh, Cheney said he'd side with Rush.
"If I had to choose in terms of being a Republican, I'd go with Rush Limbaugh," Cheney said on CBS' "Face the Nation." "My take on it was Colin had already left
the party. I didn't know he was still a Republican."
But now, the acerbic ex-official is softening his stance. In an interview with CNBC's
Larry Kudlow, Cheney said Powell is welcome back into the party and that Republicans
would be "happy to have him."
Apparently, even Cheney's close friends told him that his comments were off the wall. Isn't it funny that he has more to say out of office than he did while in?

At least he isn't lecturing people on how to live their lives like his predecessor is.

I was also wondering about that. 8 years in office he was secluded, hiding, secretive and almost never available to explain the American people his decisions and policies. At the time when such explanations were necessary for the administration and the republican party.
Now he talks load, explains in detail, and tries to justify his time in office....
That's weird.

Making stupid comments as did Cheney does have consequences especially against a very popular ex-wartime general... Now Dick, kiss and make up...
If I were Powell I would inform Cheney that he does not give a rats arse what he thinks or says, He does not need Cheney's Neo-Con indorsement to be a Republican. Funny how Cheney cannot keep himself from shooting off his mouth these days, yet when he was VP he was quiet as a chuch mouse. Let's hope Bush remains silent, most of us had enough of what he was selling.

Another thread with insecure liberals fixated on the power structure of the GOP.
Thanks for your concern peoples.
So, what You going to do to fix it, or do you believe there is nothing to fix within the Republican Party? Interesting that righthanders can ramble on and on about the problems with the Democrats but then take offense if anyone dares critic the Republicans, even if there is genuine concern. Partisan thinking is what is wrong with our system these days, far too many are blindly loyal to their Party over loyalty to the Nation.

Actually if you read my post it's about finding the humor within the party of the azz thinking they know what is best for the GOP.
However, I do appreciate your viewpoint, partisan as it may be.

Not Partisan, I see problems in Both Parties, while some only see problems with the other guys Party. If it is true that only someone that belongs to a Party can see the problems within it, then neither side should ever comment on the other Party. Hmmmm, you might be on to something there, if no one ever talked about the other Party we might actually work together for once, that would a be nice change.

Do have to admit that is a gas to watch the GOP implode...
