Oh. My. God. These people are really, truly, staggeringly out of their minds. Rather than working to produce innovative ideas and strengthen their party, they continue to engineer their own demise. Mockery, hate, fear-baiting, mindlessness: the tenets of the present-day Republican party.

To be fair, Democrats have mocked Bush on numerous occasions throughout his presidency. You'll find this partisan hackery no matter who is in the office.
Libertarians are a little too anti-government for me but I am seriously considering it. The other party I am looking at is the Modern Whig Party. They were founded by veterans of Iraq/Afghanistan who were unhappy with the direction of the GOP. I like their common sense ideas that the two main parties seem to hate.

The Democrats--as well as the rest of the world--mocked (and still mock) Bush because he was a moron, lied to take the American people to war, lifted environmental laws to help out his oil buddies, shredded the Constitution, and left our economy in shambles. Obama is trying to deal with the fallout, and all the Republicans can do--all they have done since from the beginning of Bush's presidency--is perpetuate lies and innuendo that have no connection to any sane truth. Our country is in crisis, people are worried and stressed. The GOP's answer to this is to attempt to exploit that worry through fear-baiting--even having the indecency to connect Obama to 9/11 (which most Republicans appear to forget happened under Bush's watch--even after he was warned months before by British intelligence--and a month before by Israeli intelligence-- that a major attack was imminent, and would probably involve planes).

Check it out. We are not anarchists. We believe in efficient Federal government and more power to local jurisdictions.
