Watch 1.42-1.54 to hear from Bush himself that resentment and lack of hope caused 9/11. Also watch at .40, .55, and 1.30 to hear the ingenious reasoning Bush had about going to war with Iraq!
Actually your video shows that Bush thinks that "resentment and a lack of hope" from those in the middle east, not Iraq..
This video also clearly shows Bush saying that Iraq did not cause 9/11 and the reason for the invasion was due to concerns over WMDs along with human suffering, and to "advance the freedom adjenda"
You heard what you wanted to hear, what the media wants you to hear, not what he said.
Why didn't Bush deal with those who caused 9/11 rather than direct our resources elsewhere?
Because SOME of them were IN Iraq..
I'm sure the administration was thinking,
Hey, we can take care of the terrorist camps, the WMD's and Saddam who was terrorising his own people, all in one fast sweep.. No one thought it would drag on..

SOME of who was in Iraq? And who said "SOME of them" were IN Iraq and that is why we should go to war there?

Reason: spelling mistake
The Republican Party spent a lot of time and resources trying to impeach Pres. Clinton for lying about sex. However, now the GOP believes investigating war crimes of the Bush administration is a "waste of time". Go figure!
Was there a hearing I missed that declared the Bush Administration did not torture?[/quote]
