LOL, if anyone who writes about it is getting a cut, why would they want to shut up about the hypocrisy? The hypocrisy is the only really juicy angle in this story. The lying will be a hot topic long after the photos become boring.
Just look at John Edwards, the disdain about his hypocrisy is still making the tv talk shows. People don't care that he had an affair, they care that he tried to hide it and run for office.
If one good thing can come from this, I hope that teenage girls realize that taking naked photos of themselves could hurt them in the future. All this "sexting" that's going on these days is going to damage a lot of promising careers, I just wish young girls could see that.
I also wonder why would someone want to destroy a person's life. There is no excuse for exposing the photos. Young girls are constantly being exploited. Why doesn't this happen with males?
I wonder why this is a problem. Miss America pageant has always sold products using sex. They just strive to make the sex part illicit so it gets more attention. The pageant is just afraid that the girl's pictures will interfere with their rules and their monopoly.
The cultural aspect of the contest is still designed to convince young women that their future is dependant on being some guys sex toy instead of being a complete self supporting productive individual.

If anyone "destroyed" her life, she did. She did it to herself when she took money to shoot the photos in the first place, and later when she lied so she could be in a pageant that expressly forbade it. Who would want to hire a girl that has a history of lying to get a job? Sleazy joints, maybe, and modelling firms. But if she wants other jobs as she gets older, she'll find out that when many corporations see a history of lying, you don't get past the initial screening.
But I don't think her "life is destroyed." That's rather dramatic, don't you think?
She has certainly damaged a number of career options but that's not exactly a "destroyed life." As she is already discovering the hard way, many career options will now be closed to her. When she hits her late 20's and her body starts to sag, life will become difficult. When she turns 40 life will be very difficult.
But for now she can continue modelling, and will probably move on to racier and racier shots. There's money in that (as long as she maintains a teenager's body).

This is also what the radical gay activists do to people that don't support gay marriage - just ask some of the contributors to prop 8 in California just how these fanatics went after them.
Of course, they didn't go after the blacks and hispanics who wholeheartedly supported prop 8, or obama, who does not back gay marriage.

Young boys get exploited all the time, too. If my son came home and said some modelling agency paid him to pose in a t-shirt with the bottom half of his body obviously naked, and with half of his p*nis exposed, I'd be upset.
And I'd feel that photo seriously damaged his career potential.
