Most people who claim they are environmentally friendly are not.

2006 or 2009 it really doesn't matter.
The man has a well earned rep worldwide as a hypocrite and a fraud.

It's an editorial so I don't take much stock in the information in it especially as indicated at the very beginning, at least one thing was incorrect.

The only thing "green" about Al Gore is all the money he collects.

Check Gore's use of electricity and gas if you do not like editorials. Gore talks a good game, but that is about it.

Quote:
That averages out to be $29,268 in gas and electric bills for the Gores in 2006, $31,512 in 2005.

After Earth Hour he was slammed by many - had most lights off but TVs were on. Guess TV's don't count.

... among people who hate Al Gore.

If you're not an idiot wingnut, Al Gore has a fine reputation. I won't go back to review this particular complaint, as it is old, but I remember some of the hysteria from the time. His house is also the location of his business - and he has a staff of 6 to 12, if I recall.

Keep trying to drag intelligent, thoughtful people down, wingnuts. And keep listening to crazy people like Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, and Coulter. It's working wonders for your "well earned rep worldwide as ... hypocrite(s) and ... fraud(s)."
