Can we start calling it his recession? Yes we can! The policies he voted for caused it, and the policies that he has implemented as President have worsened it

The actual numbers aren’t just worse than the rosy picture Obama painted for a world after his magical stimulus took effect. They’re worse even than the doomsday scenario he outlined if Congress didn’t pass his stimulus plan.
Check out the link, it includes a graph, with what our Failure-in-Chief said the unemployment rate would be, vs what it is.

Obama and many in congress have shown their lack of understanding of economics. When you take trillions out of the economy, you cause a loss of jobs.. period.. its been proven over, and over again that the private sector creates more jobs than the government ever could, at a much cheaper cost..

Lets not even discuss the fact that the stimulus plan is a re-election gimmick, to give people a reason to vote for Democrats in 2010.. What other justification would there be to delay the spending until next year.. when we're in a recession now..

And federal revenues are falling faster than projected as well. But didn't Barack Obama serve wagyu beef hors d'oeuvres at the White House one night and then take his wife out to dinner on Valentine's Day??? What can you expect when the Commander in Chief behaves like that!!! And this Roxanna Saberi release...what a humiliation for Obama that must be...somehow. Is there a right-wing thread claiming that yet???

what about his sending our money to places that do not need it where unemployment is low instead of where it is needed and unemployment is high??
he is a worse hack that I thought, we won't make it for four years with his bright ideas

At the moment, the private sector is destroying jobs by the hundreds of thousands. It's been in all the papers. I'm surprised you hadn't heard.

I know you didn't have the time to read it, but the ARRA includes a wide range of programs and projects. Some are already in effect -- like those Make Work Pay tax cuts that you've been getting since around April 1. Some take a little longer. Like high-speed rail. You expect that to be up and running by next week, do you?

Imagine, bigger tax cuts would have been put into affect already, but hey, lets keep finding excuse after excuse for rising unemployment. Why should you be any different than Obama... Both making excuses for failure..

Very interesting. So the right-wing supports the use of federal tax dollars to improve and build highways where there are none and none are needed simply because the few residents of those areas have high unemployment rates??? That's a really good idea. Roads to nowhere. Might as well be the theme song of the right-wing it seems to me...

spin, spin, spin.. Wonderful attempt..

I thought the idea behind the stimuls bill was to put money where it was needed, now your saying its not.. maybe the idea might have been to provide companies in those areas an incentive to hire more.. noo, that would be stupid, actually spend money where its needed..

The President writes the budget. Congress reviews and implements it. Shocking news to you.

Blaming greedy American consumers for not being greedy enough now, are we? Actually personal consumption expenditures were up by 2.2% in the first quarter. Why isn't the free market showing some of its vaunted efficiency by translating that increase into new hiring???

Never mind that tax cuts (the right-wing answer to everything) have one of the worst stimulus effects among all possible approaches. Reject things that work much better and go with tax cuts all the time, you say, and you actually call that "economics"???
