Could the New York Times prove that it can be any more irrelevant, the speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi, says the CIA LIED to her, and mislead the congress every step of the way, about briefing them on interrogations, and the New York Times could not find it news worthy enough for anywhere but page A20, but the Pot Pies story required the front page.
The sitting Speaker of the House of Representatives has accused the CIA of lying to Congress. She is ensnared in a web of conflicting accounts. Her very hold on power could be under a cloud. Meh. Guess we can find some room on A20. But pot pies need to be heated to 165 degrees to be safe? Hold the presses: put it on the front page! Link

Ahh, we can't have any story that exposes Democrat dishonesty getting MSM coverage. That might undermine the Manchild from his radical socializing of American government. The liberal media is probably at it's lowest ethical point in history.

The New York Times claims to be the "paper of record," where the news fit to print, is actually printed, no wonder they lose readership on a daily basis, we need to go to web sites for the real news.
Maybe they can save money and just plaster URLs all over the front page.

You obviously know absolutely nothing about the state of the newspaper industry right now.
Actually I think that pot pie story's rather scary and definitely deserves to be on the front page. That's a very dangerous precedent they're trying to sneak in under everyone's nose... trying to legally make people who get salmonella eating the pies somehow responsible because they didn't cook the pies enough to burn the crust. Nevermind the real problem, that they're selling pies that have salmonella.
Parent buy those pot pies for their kids to cook when they get home from school. You're telling me that a little kid is going to read cooking instructions, press special settings on a microwave, and cook a pie until the crust is burnt? And that if he doesn't, it's not the company's fault that the kid gets salmonella?

No need to be insulting. You were bold enough to call me out, so why go half way, enlighten me.
The speaker of the house just said the CIA purposefully and systematically LIED to her and the US congress, but its not news fit to print on the front page, but pot pies are?
