Waiting for that PM so you can put your money where your mouth is and help share responsibilities..
When can I expect you to be a man of your word?
Even though I'm retired, I still pay taxes. When you're down on your luck and have no money for food for yourself and family, Go to your local food stamp office and if you can show proof of your destitution, they'll give you a SNAP card to buy basic food with for you and your family. Therein you'll see my tax dollars at work helping you directly. I won't send you a check via PM. You'd probably spend it on Booze and cigarettes. I'm willing to help you, not support your counter-productive habits.
I wrote about my husband and our situation back in 2009. Back then, companies were doing massive layoffs, not hiring. He is a computer programmer that knows mainframe programming. He worked as a mainframe programmer for 30 plus years. Now out of work, his skills were outdated. Not too many companies use mainframe programs. In order for him to find work in the Tampa area, he had to learn newer skills. Romney asks "are you any better off now than 4 years ago"? In our situation, we are absolutely better off. The job market has opened up. He is finally working. I too found work.
The "shovel-ready" job doesn't really apply in his situation.
I am glad you are better off than you were four years ago. Most of us, including myself, are worse off than we were four years ago. Four years ago, I had savings, a reliable car, my own apartment with a swimming pool, free health insurance paid by my employer, and a good job that paid double what I am making now.
Now, I work 54-60 hours a week just to make ends meet, I am tired, have little savings, my car is falling apart, and I couch surf with relatives. I am looking for an apartment though. Oh, and I have asthma and no health insurance.

People being better/worse off has little to do with who is president.
