With California in its economic situation, and with the recent Prop 8 voting, the turning down of increased taxes, is California waking up to understand that liberalism creates more problems than it fixes?
Poverty, education, jobs, economic development just several examples..

What fails in California is their aweful referendum system who thought that up. Part of the reason I like North Carolina is that laws are made in the state legislature, that is what it is there for, with a referendum system people are always going to vote to increase their services and cut their taxes which is why California is in this mess. That is the problem not liberalism as is demonstrated by the fact that the great liberal bastions of Connecticut and Massachusetts are still far and away some of the most prosperous states in the nation and if your hypothesis were true they would be in the same mess as California, but they are not.
Here we go again..... It's all due to Republicans or Democrat failings... No it isn't.... it is that the people in Office, regardless of party, are not doing their job properly. Nothing is ever going to be fixed while this them and us attitude exists.
how are calilfornia current woes the property of the left?
who do you think let those 21 million illegals into the country and shipped all our jobs overseas, karl marx?
When was the last time liberalism put California in such a mess? Oh that's right it was under Pete Wilson...(R)
