There are "some" bad apples in the military as in anyplace else, but they are far and few between and when caught they are punished.
Trying to paint all of them with the same brush is a great disservice to all American Soldiers, it was done by the left during Vietnam War by calling all soldiers "Baby Killers" by idiotic Americans that believed the rants and were clueless, this isn't much different.

The left news media ran the Abu Grab prison torture story dozens of times, for what was "Embarrassing" the prisoners, not torture. Cutting fingers or other body parts off, burning out eyes, pouring acid in the mouth, raping a daughter, wife or girlfriend then killing them in front of the family members is torture... those things are real torture and we are not doing them...
Well my being in uniform during the early 70's, I can attest that it was not an urban Legend. As for my friends, they experienced it too... as well as being spit on, flipped the bird after honking their horns to get you to look at them driving by and the list went on and on. The worst was passing though Southern California, it was a bit less in other parts of the Nation, but still there.

I don't believe you. There are not any press reports of this rhetoric being directed at veterans nor it's sister myth that soldiers were "spat" on. I have several family members that served in Vietnam and they chuckled when I asked them this....It's just a myth used to smear liberals and anti war supporters.
The common one is that the "hippies" met them at the airport....LOL....That's pure bunk as most every veteran arrived back at a military airfield for processing and the hippies were nowhere near there....LOL
