I guarantee you that the cost the tax payers a lot more for FORMER President Bush traveling on private jet WITH his secret service agents and press to Canada to make a speech for which he was VERY handsomely paid then it did for the current president to take his wife to dinner and a show in NYC.

Where is your outrage over that?

This thread is tired. So you people are outraged, get over it. I could care less if he travels elsewhere, I also could've cared less when Bush did it, Clinton did it, Reagan did it, etc. I just can't conjure up the hysteria it takes to be outraged by this.

One question. Was this "date night" on the tax payer's buck or did the man buy his own tickets. Because frankly, if he bought his own tickets there isn't a thing anyone can say about it. That's called freedom people. On the other hand, if the tax payers floated that night out, there should be some animosity. Didn't have time to go through the whole thread, so I don't know if someone has already provided proof the tax payers paid this bill. If not, then this thread is entirely too long.

Lets ask a question and be honest.

Raise your hand if you complained one time over Bush vacations? Because if you did dont make excuses for Obamas.

Thanks Obama for saving us another penny. Dont worry we arent deep in debt and you didnt promise a pay as you go gov

I believe he paid for the tickets. Yes, this thread is overly long.

I think the problem people had w/Bush vacations was the length, not the use of security or jet.

He bought his own tickets/dinner. The cost being quoted was security/transportation.

Oh So Obama can go to camp David twice and Chi Town in a mth and half and that is ok? Obama was going to Camp David every other weekend during the worse economic time of our lifetime and thats acceptable.

I sense a double standard here
