I would be o.k. with their systems as well

It is not a right under the consitution; however, to make it a right we only have to agree that it is and make it part of the constitution.

Just make sure you implement a health care approach that avoids long waiting list, deficit problems, doesn't cause people to over consume services and can be sustained over a long term regardless of demographic changes.
In other words, don't make it like the current system that we have now. I believe the European and Canadian model would solve these problems. It does work there.

Yeah but we need to examine the good and bad of those systems. These UHC systems are more complicated to fund and manage than many American UHC advocates realize. Look at France's issues and they are ranked No.1 in healthcare.

I you want a glimpse of what it would be like, go to any ER in southern California and wait 8 hours while non-english speaking folks get served first.

I am not advocating National Healthcare to non-nationals. That is an immigration problem, which no one is working on either.

The fact that we are a nation of hypochondriac's should be enough to persuade you that UHC IS NOT a good idea.

This nation has to simplify the approach, regardless of direction it goes in. I would MUCH prefer a system based on the same capitalist principles dentists use and highly reduced regulation. Unfortunately, lobbies will prevent this from happening and we continue to straddle the fence between socialized and capitalist, taking the worst of both worlds in some highly inefficient Frankenstein system.
