Geeze..they are going a bit too far comparing Obama to a god. They don't even do that to the Pope.
Granted he's a good talker and can wiggle his way out of any promise and change course and no one gets upset but I wouldn't even think to compare him to a god.
Yep. Statues are erected for all sorts of people. Soldiers and political figures alike. If Reagan's statue was erected in the center of town with all roads leading to it, and no buildings within 5 blocks being as high as the statue, that would be idol worship.
I fully credited MSNBC with this quote because the interviewer did not call out Thomas on it immediately after the sentence ended. Whenever fringe wingnut statements like this are made, there should be a Shepherd Smith like person on the other end basically replying "what the h*ll?!"
That's not why you credited MSNBC with the statement. Be honest....
This is the old campaign attack. Obama is "uppity" so he must be the chosen one.
Not to mention they knew he was speaking metaphorically.
It was when the great Oprah anointed Obama saying, "He is the one." You can find that on Youtube. Since the great Oprah---the voice of the Dem party anointed Obama as "THE ONE" the liberal media lined up to declare him their God, the almighty One, the Omnipotent one, forever and ever amen.
Ooops! He picked up his share of blasphemers this trip also:
