Janelle, you're striking out with your "ideas".........but, as I said, it must be nice to live in a world of such simple-mindedness.
If I could I'd really study this phenomenon. We see the results of it right before our eyes...this little simple world of fear and ignorance, and we know the feeding tubes that go into it...it's fascinating.
So what was the RESULT of the case?
Was he convicted?
Waiting...
From what I understand the charges were reduced to "misdemeanor battery" and then dismissed.
Are disagreeing with that and claiming that FOX News has criminals on it's payroll, because I think a LOT of people on the Left will agree with you on that. I mean, consider Karl Rove.
LOL
Ken
On the contrary, Smith was charged with a felony the day of the offense. The charge was later downgraded to a misdemeanor – not an uncommon practice, according to the state attorney's office – and the anchor pleaded not guilty.
The woman dropped the charges. It was not dismissed. probably from fear which is why most women drop charges against men who are violent towards them. It is not uncommon.
"If we took away women’s right to vote, we’d never have to worry about another Democrat president. It’s kind of a pipe dream, it’s a personal fantasy of mine, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women." - Ann Coulter
Some people excuse comments like that by calling her an "entertainer".

Sorry you are dead wrong. Even if the plantiff decides not to pursue the matter, the case is "dismissed".
From the legal-dictionary under the term "dismissed":
"The plaintiff may voluntarily dismiss a cause of action before or during trial if the case is settled, if it is not provable, or trial strategy dictates getting rid of a weak claim."
So, the case ended up being a misdemeanor - so clearly the prosecutor didn't feel it was that serious - then completely dismissed.
But - as I said - if you are so determined to contend that FOX New has criminals on it's payroll, I think you'll find lots who agree with you overall.
LOL

You refer to people as "birthers" and you criticize the "ignorant low life movement"? You may want to take a look in the mirror buddy. Ignorance has a new low.

OMG! LMAO.
Have you ever been to Tallahassee, Florida? LOL
Btw, the "victim" does not determine whether or not the State Attorney pursues a case. And I assure you the journalist in Tallahassee was not in the least fearful of Smith.
There had to be a "deal" between the prosecutor, the victim, and the defendant for the case to be dropped. So everybody had to agree.
This just in... Hannity, Beck, Lou Dobbs and the rest of the right wing media nutjobs struggle with who could be responsible for the spike in demestic terrorism in America... Hmmm... keep looking, he can't get any closer than wherever you are.

Sounds more like Shep is doing the fear-mongering in this particular thread.
What a conundrum. On one hand...every lib here constantly bashes Fox news. Now...one comes out and says something they like. And it is the new gospel.
Can someone refresh my memory? I thought I saw a thread the other day, it may have been about Jon Voight, and people were getting bashed for this same thing.

Hey, I've ALWAYS like Shep Smith - he and Neil Cavuto (who I often agree with, but is still a decent guy) are the only 2 FOX News folks I can stand.
