In North Korea's eyes, this could justify them invading South Korea.

I'm not sure. Maybe some Navy guys can tell us if a stopped ship is easier to sink than a moving ship. Doesn't seem too hard either way to me, but then...

Sink 'em and let the fish sort it all out.

In NK's eyes, someone burping somewhere along the border is reason to invade.

I say YES.

In this case, we have United Nations backing, we would not be playing the Lone Ranger game again, as we did in Iraq. Whether voiced or not, we have at least the tacit approval of China, Russia, Japan and SK. Don't discount the fact that Hilary's recent trip to China, under the cover of "buy our T-Bills" talks, may well have been to let China know that we'll clobber NK if they start some crap, and to get China's quiet approval. China is impacted by hordes of NK people trying to escape oppression and genuine starvation in NK.

NK has had EVERY chance to behave like an adult, but has lied, cheated and tricked everyone, at every turn, even China.

If it was my butt in the White House, I'd have our conventional and nuclear forces on full alert. If the clown in NK sent his forces across the DMZ, or started shelling Seoul with his 4,000 artillery tubes sequestered in caves just north of the DMZ, then I'd unleash it on him and his military until nothing was left of it.

We have thousands of nukes of all sizes, if the idiot in NK wants to play nukes, we'll show him how.

How about sending some navy seals to make a couple of holes in the bottom of the ship?

"Without telegraphing what we will do, I would just say we are in a good position -- should it become necessary -- to protect American territory."

Comments like this, especially when you know he isn't kidding, is why I support that oh-so-evil military industrial complex.
