Native Indians are actually millions of dollars richer now and have forgotten the past and Custer and all.
Millions richer compaired to the top crust of Americans(orginally Europeans), which is the top 1-2% of the rich that are worth in the trillions. I think they surpass the Native American Indians by dollar value by a huge amount.
This is a question that I have thought about as I hear politicians call America the world's only "indispensible nation". If we were to dissappear tomorrow what would happen to the rest of the world? Could they survive without the United States to lead them, help them and show them the way?
After all think of all the things we have given to the world- the lightbulb, TV radio, miracle drugs that cured many diseases such as polio, the telephone, the car, the computer. So many things the world needs, we invented.
And then consider all the wars we have fought for the rest of the world. We have been at war almost all of our history and really only Japan ever directly attacked us. The rest of the wars have been fought for others including Veitnam, Iraq, Korea and, I would argue, Germany in WW2 was fought more for the benefit of France and England than for us.
Do you think the world would live without the USA?
YES: and possibly better off...let Europe carry the torch...they are all grown up now...we are still school yard bullies. IMHO.
Europe would end up divided between China and Russia. It would become a resort for their enjoyment; good restaurants, good hotels, nice women, the Great European W.h.o.r.e.
Spain would end up as a Islamic country for the solace of Arab moguls, the name changed to Al Andalus.
The third world would end divided by two or three powers. China, Russia, Asian Tigers, Iran.
Africa will be sacked of all their resources, their inhabitants exterminated and peopled by Chinese, just the same thing would happen to Brazil, Argentina, etc.
Japan and Taiwan will have to take sides, probably siding with Russia.
Australia would become an asiatic country peopled by Han Chinese, white people will be preserved as curiosity.
Chinese and Russians would engage in endless wars to control de world.
India would remain as the only democratic superpower in the world and a shelter for democrats.
