And Mr. Obama voted YES on it if you recall.

It had to get passed to get to Bush's desk.

It isn't some pile of money that could be put anywhere to earn interest. Otherwise, you've gotten about a third of this year's Make Work Pay tax cut so far because they began showing up in April and it's only July. Same with food stamps, unemployment benefits, and some direct aid to states. It has been flowing out and will continue to over the rest of the year. For much of the infrastructure money, there needed to be created an expanded administrative and oversight capacity. Remember the howls when there was no oversight included in that first TARP bill? Well, if you want oversight, you have to wait for it to be set up and staffed. Most of that is up and running now. More than a thousand projects are already underway. The bulk of them will be on-line later this year, even more next year.

When the two parties split the government from the beginning of Reagan's administration to the end of Clinton's administration, what happened to the debt?

When the Republicans had it all between 2000 and 2006, what happened to the debt?

Obama's administration is continuing the "conservative-liberal" big spending tradition that started with Reagan.

Not Reagan! You can't say that about the holy one. (and saying he is similar to the current president). Oh me oh my.

Republicans, on the other hand are fiscally responsible . Arnold and GW Bush are some good examples of Republican superiority when it comes to fiscal matters.

No one is fiscally responsible when they spend other people's money.

GWB and arnold are two individuals in the party. Just because you have a few idiots in the party doesn't mean you should abandon the party.
