Not buying that at all. Based on past threads, this thread is strictly about making the First Lady look bad, nothing more, nothing less.

By the way, what did Laura Bush do during her 8 years as First Lady? Obviuosly nothing of note.
No she only did things for HIV/AIDS, Malaria, heart disease, Alzheimer's, child abuse, education, etc, etc, etc...nothing important. Just little bull$hit causes.

Agreed. There is so much waste in government, we could at least reduce the number of servants for the First Lady. Like you said, they only need 4 at the most. Apparently when 0bama was going on about claiming he was looking hard to find ways to save money in his administration, he did not cut his wife's staff.

I'll bet the speaker of the house has like 300 in her staff. no wonder they never read anything, they have servants doing the mundane things for them. Fricking royalty.

From an earlier thread on this topic (and I'm not playing hall monitor, just pointing to a discussion that has a lot of posts on the topic):

Nancy Reagan had a staff of at least 35.

"She commands a staff of 16 policy aides, seven maids, six butlers and three doormen, not to mention cooks, calligraphers, and a florist."
