Is it right that a drug addled homeless guy living over a grate gets the same vote as a business owner with 3 kids who provides jobs for a dozen people and pays taxes that subsidize two or three liberal 'families'?
Is it right that someone on welfare, food stamps and public housing who pays no taxes gets to vote hardworking folks a tax increase?
Is it right that one political party gets to consolidate its future power by creating new classes of dependents whose vote they are essentially buying?
Is it right that the mainstream media openly and actively campaigns for an unqualified incompetent because he's socialist? And uneducated undiscerning ignoramuses believe everything the MSM says?
Here's the cure. When the adults get back in power, they should pass laws that will eliminate what I call the dumbass vote:
1) Make the minimum voting age 30. Age gives perspective. For example, if you aren't old enough to remember we've been here before with Bill Clinton's con game and failed attempts at socialism, you can't appreciate the disaster Obama is heading our country for.
2) Allow only income earners to vote. If you aren't contributing, you shouldn't get a say. Plain and simple.
3) Make every single voter produce an ID and cross check it with voter registration and signature. Democrats who have cried crocodile tears over alleged voter fraud over the years have fought the commonsense measure of voter ID tooth and nail. The reason is obvious. Then dead people couldn't vote and ACORN recruits couldn't vote five times apiece.
One way to help limit the abuses of government by democracy (read: stupid people in large groups).
Eliminate the biggest conflict of interest a voter can have.
If you receive a check from the government other than a tax rebate check, voting is a conflict of interest, as people like to vote themselves more money.
This eliminates the welfare vote, the military vote, and the government grant vote. If you receive those checks it is up to you to convince the people not receiving government funds that your efforts are worth paying your for.

I like the idea, but it's DOA. What you're talking about would require a Constitutional amendment and that will never happen.
The slime class that pervades our political ranks understands it is far easier to control the DA vote than the business owner or working person who will A) pay attention to what they're doing in Washington B) not buy their line of nonsense and C) hold them accountable. As it stands now all they have to do is promise the world and blame rich white males for all the world's ills. The DAs will never check facts or call these dirt bags to account.

How do we define income earners? Suppose we have a single mom with just enough of a nest egg to be able to stay at home and raise her kids. Shouldn't she get a vote?

Let me ask you - is it fair that my vote only counts as much as some elementary-school educated hillbilly that lives miles form civilization, who is super paranoid about the boogey-man taking away his gun that he uses to shoot cans on a fence? Or some ironworker that votes away his healthcare and union benefits, becasue he doesn't want gay people he'll never meet to get married?
