Update: Broadcasting & Cable's Paige Albiniak casts doubt on Sarah Palin's radio prospects, and says that her sources claim Clear Channel has already turned Palin down out of fears that she can't sustain a regular three-hour radio show:

While you might assume Palin would be a better fit for conservative radio than the less partisan world of syndicated broadcast TV, my sources say the country's biggest radio conglomerate, Clear Channel, has already passed on her.

Three hours of her? I can't stand to listen to her for 3 minutes.........

I support Palin. But being an engaging talk host everyday for 3 hours is tough. Not everybody can be a talk jock.

Palin sustaining a 3 hour talk show judging by her own journalistic skills (not) would be a feat. A 30 minute program would even be a stretch for her. I could just hear her now babbling as she does...

It's not a matter of sustaining for 3 hours, it's whether or not advertisers are willing to pony up the cash to put her show on. You figure she can speak for 20 minutes at a time, take callers, have guests and then have 10 minutes of ads every 20 minutes ... she may be able to pull it off. But wouldn't you hate to be the call screener??? I think the novelty of the Sarah Palin show would wear thing after a month. I think her schtick would go over better on a once a week show on Fox.

An obvious ploy to try and get her message to the people without the filter known as the MSM. It appears she's trying to take after Reagan, this being one of the main reasons why Reagan couldn't really be challenged or smeared properly when he ran for President. Not saying it will work the same for her as Reagan had plenty of practice with films, GE electric theater, sports broadcasting, radio host and having already been a Governor. She needs to just write a book, something Reagan also did. If she can't do that she doesn't need to get a radio deal. She has to do something to pay her bills from the relentless attacks on her through frivolous lawsuits.

I think she should get a TV show.

not one where she talks or anything but one where she does stuff, like washes the car,

in a bikini,

or makes a bacon explosion on the grill,

in a bikini,

or goes moose hunting,

in a bikini

or does jumping jacks

in a bikini........
