"The president's clear commitment is not to raise taxes on those making less than $250,000 a year,''
Gibbs told reporters pressing for an explanation about apparent discrepancies in the White House's message.
"I hope you'll take my reiteration of this clear commitment... in the clearest terms possible, that he is not
raising taxes on those who make less than $250,000 a year,'' Gibbs said.
Well I hope this is true but what I find funny is that people making $250,000 a year are not rich in my eyes.
A quarter million a year aint bad. If you're halfway responsible in any part of this country, you should be well off. If you have a Bentley a boat and a McMansion then maybe not but that's on you.

In the Northeast it is comfortable but far from what I would consider rich.

a million every four years isnt rich to you? I could try to get by on it.
