The insurance companies must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Absolutely bussed in.... Americans For Prosperity (they helped organize tea parties) is involved with this effort:
Kathleen Sebelius | TPMDC

AFP web site:
http://www.americansforprosperity.org/

So, it wasn't the district's constituents demonstrating... they were outsiders brought in to disrupt the town hall meeting.

I predict these events will become violent before too long.

On the way to work today several people phoned into a local radio talk show.
They had attended this town hall.

They said that Doggett was asked a question:
"If your constituents don't want this healthcare bill will you listen to them and vote no ?"

He replied that he has already thought about it and will vote yes.
A few of the callers said he was pretty arrogant to the crowd and it was after he gave that answer that the "Just say No" chanting started.

To me this comes across as the typical politician that isn't listening to the people that elected them. This politician seems to know what's best for the people in spite of them telling him otherwise.

LOL - well then maybe his constituents can/should boot him out of office next year.

It's not like this sort of thing is uncommon, though.

Doggett was the one who, when debating the Cap&Trade, was totally against it in the morning and then in the afternoon thanked Waxman for appointing him to some committee and then went on to say how good Cap&Trade was and how he was for it.

He's definitely a Party man.

Well I can tell you that from the callers to this show, not alot knew about it because Doggett didn't post it on his website and it was at a supermarket and not a very large crowd.

Here's a story that backs up my previous post:
Doggett finds hostile audience; baby sleeps through SWAT standoff (http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/2009/08/03/0803roundup.html - broken link)

"Witnesses said that when Doggett was asked whether he would support the plan even if he found that his constituents opposed it, Doggett said he would. People then began chanting "just say no" and overwhelmed the congressman as he moved through the crowd and into the parking lot."

It shows how low the AMA and Insurance Industry will go bussing in Storm Troopers to disrupt DEMOCRACY. I have Health Care so I had no horse in this race but now they are using FASCIST tactics to disrupt DEMOCRACY
