And now, as I, my friends and even my elderly mother speak loudly at town hall meetings to tell our elected representatives we don’t want government-run health care, we are being called Nazis, racists, political terrorists, rabid mobsters and angry, right-wing wackos, just because we are exercising our God-given right to freedom of speech.

Michelle, you are right, America is mean. The Obamanation is the meanest America I have ever known.

Does any of this seem to get up anyone's interest. These are the closing words of the linked article and they are pretty tame compared to what the lady says in the article.

Michelle’s Right: America IS Mean!

If you think it's only one party, you fail. It's the denigration of American politics. The opposition is no longer some one with a difference of opinion and ideas...they are evil incarnate, hate the country, unpatriotic, mentally ill, and will destroy the earth. Once we as people give value of the winner take all, anything to win, and my way or the highway philosophies we all lose. Debates stop, coexistence stops, and we are left with two propaganda spewing hate groups that work against each other because the others viewpoint is the one of the Antichrist...not because proposals would gain the most value.

Nah, that's not it. They're called those names because of how they exercise their God-give right to freedom of speech and what they say when they do it.

("God-given"? I thought it was the Constitution that gave that right in this country.)

Its a game they play in Washington, get the partisan voters all riled up, so they won't care what their party's politicians do, because they have them despising the other party.

Its a win-win for the politicians, when either side passes laws and creates new government powers, they each get to have that power whenever their party is in control.

Did you see 0bama give back the $400 billion in TARP money Bush left him? Hell no.

Did you see 0bama cancel the NSA domestic spying program once he was sworn in? Hell no.

0bama kept the TARP money, and claimed it was now part of the "debt he inherited" and he did not cancel NSA he expanded it.

The truth is, they all love the power that each party acquires, because they know one day they will have control of it. They just bicker back and fourth to try and get that power for a few years, and they keep all the sheeple fighting each other, while the politicians just acquire more power and control.

I don't know about the direction this thread has spun off to but that woman that wrote that article is like me. I had never been called a terrorist until Napolitano made up her list of probably terrorists that included any veterans who stand up to the Democrat beliefs. I was never called a racist until I told people that I would not vote for Obama. I am neither of those things but have been called them by Dems.

I have been a strong Nazi hater since my childhood when they were going so strong. Yet, Madame Peeloosly called me a Nazi the other day. I would never wave a swastika, even one with a red line through it like the ones the Madame of the House talked about.

They (the Dems and their shock troops) won't manage to intimidate me without coming to my house. Then they may get tired of eating lead as they will certainly get to do.

Does your elderly mother use government-funded health care?

If so, then why are you and she against it for everybody else?

the author's right to freedom of speech is legally granted, not God-given.

It's the government thats turning everybody against each other. Just to keep us distracted and putting in the same people over and over back and forth. No change, no hope, no way. Unless we break the chain and put in independants in office.
