I got a question rkb. If you are a christian and a democrat what is your belief on abortion? just curious.
I don't know that I could ever bring myself to have an abortion, but I am pro-choice because that decision should only be made by the woman and her doctor. So, go ahead, tell me I'm not a "real" Christian.

How is this possible?
I know. I even surprise myself sometimes. LOL.
Actually I'm pro-life because I'm left wing, not in spite of it. The way I see it, the left has always been a big advocate for the most vulnerable, needy and defenseless in society. A voice for the voiceless. And who is more voiceless and vulnerable than the unborn? That's not to say the scared pregnant girl doesn't matter, though.
I don't hate pro-choice people, but that's where I"m at on that issue.

I totally disagree with your stance, but I must compliment you on your independent thinking, and I have to say that while I don't agree, your reasoning is great, and I can totally understand where you come to this conclusion.
Rep points for you for a number of reasons. You seem like the kind of person I'd like to sit down, have a beer with, and discuss the many things we may disagree about. From the little bit I know of you from this post, I'm guess I'd learn a lot, or at least get some new ideas to chew on.
(Oddly enough, I'm probably right of you, but left of center. Vote Dem more often, but not a strait ticket kind of guy. Believer, but not into organized religion.)

Well shucks, thanks! I'm able to debate people without thinking that they're evil. It's more fun that way.
Non-religious independent, only by virtue of the dearth of idealogical diversity in our political process. If there was a party for me, I'd get behind it. But the D's and R's here are much too conservative and the Libertarians are much too insane.
