In fact, right now the government control people's lives too much under the direction of corporate America. So we have the worse of both worlds!
And the Democrats are so far under corporate control, I am begining to think the Republican's only friend is the oil companies. The Democrats are just more hypocritical than Reps and sya they are "for the people" as they try to push an amnesty that they KNOW will lower American wages and will benefit large corporations.
Man, can we EVER get a thread where people don't mention "republican" or "democrat". Seriously, I want to smack all the partisan robots. We're being sold out by both sides.
If government would be free of corporate influence, I'd say government. I don't believe we have fully grasped the serious erosion of individual rights vs. corporate rights. Some are challenging this, but few see how corporations have literally begun to more than control, but successfully legislate on behalf of their self-interests.
I agree, ontheroad. Corporations currently have the same rights as citizens. Corporations are used to give certain individuals a larger impact on politics than was ever intended. Essentially, corporations are used to give some people more than one vote.
Did we discuss some of this regarding agriculture on another thread? If not, I'll try to pull up the one or two cases I know about taking back "the individual" right that may be on line and have been successfully argued in court (in PA).
