How could that be? Isn't this program run by the same folks who want to run all healthcare?
For one, if you had read the entire post, Dick Armey, the same guy who is supplying the bus, has filed a suit to make Medicare and Social Security Voluntary. If he wins most of the people paying in will quit and they will collapse. Tens of millions of seniors will lose their homes to Medical Bills and be thrown on Welfare, which is also Socialism

And, that would be outstanding!! It would mean that the American people will be able to decide what to do with THEIR money! And, if they invest it - they will have far more in retirement monies than the meger pittance that SS gives out

There is no money in Social Security, those paying in are supporting it. If they stop so does it. So we will be rid of that Socialist Program
Then they will have neither, the Insurance Companies won't touch them so they can expect bankruptcy and welfare. But the taxpayer will pay for that

I don't pay into social security or medicare. Have not in almost 40 years. Can never get either one.
Yet, by taking the same amount I would have paid into the "system", and privately investing the same monies - I am going to get over 4 times what I would have gotten if I had paid into the "system".

I'm watching John McCain's townhall and virtually every attendee is a senior citizen. No young folks in the bunch. It's like this at every townhall. Maybe they should have these events after work hours. This is not cross section of America.

Well, they have the most time, after all. What else do they have to do other than go to their weekly doctor's appointment (paid by Medicare) to measure their blood pressure, weight, and chat with the nurse and 5 minute chat with the doc? I just watched a video segment of John McCain having to listen to boos from this population and try to control them. I give him credit for doing so. I always love their "government should not get involved in healthcare" stand-up comedy routine because we all know that Medicare and Social Security is supported by space aliens.
