Sooooooo, to take minds off the $9 trillion debt AND the healthcare debacle, the old "torture" chestnut will be tossed back on the fire to get the country refocused on the Bush administration and away from the Democrat looming disaster. It's not me, will say Obama. I'm against it. It's my appointed Attorney General who thought it up all by himself. Say, do I have a Torture Czar, yet? Are the ladies from The View, available?

I mean, really, was there not some pharmaceutical plant in the Sudan we could bomb?

I'm glad torture is all LOL to you.

I'm sure the innocent families of people raped, murdered and tortured would find it hilarious as well.

All torture does is make them hate us even more.

Amazing, isn't it, the shell game this administration likes to play?

Yeah you're right we shouldn't prosecute people for crimes because they happened in the past.

Let's just like, move on, man.

When Obama leaves office I guess you won't blame the deficit on him since he's out of office and we should just forget it, cause it's in the past, bro.

Maybe we can do both simultaneously. Just expand the definition of "torture", like liberals are so fond of doing, to include ObamaCare.

Sure. We did all that- in the movies and in the minds of libs. We are worse than the SS (in the minds of libs).

I don't think that any citizen of the US gives a crap what happens to a foriegn terrorist. The "quid pro quo" that occurs through the Geneva Convention guarantees prisoners of war fair treatment. These are not POWs and they do not afford any prisoners taken by thier forces any rights under the Geneva Convention- they torture or kill our guys.

Obama is finding something odd. The guys who hated us before his adminstration still hate us. His "open hand" is met with derision and contempt for his lack of will and only creates more contempt.

Are you aware that Wallachia under Vlad the Impaler, a citizen could place an open wagon full of goods and money without guards outside of the inn in which they were sleeping? Tyrants and extremists do not respond to friendship. "Friendship" is based on mutual respect, not submission and weakness. Fear of persecution and injury alters the behavior of tyrants- let them be tortured. I think that the US has been way too easy on these thugs and they should escalate the level of methods during interrogation. A good place to start? Well, let's ask your communist friends in Cuba, Russia, and North Korea for a little guidance. They are so enlightened that I bet they have a few techniques that we have not thought of.

Torture is a WAR CRIME as defined by the NUREMBERG TRIBUNALS, which we forced on the international community in 1951. They are the law and we are treaty bound to bring violators to justice
