The parallels with LBJ are getting stronger every day.

Another liberal landslide followed by a land war that requires more and more US troops to be fed into it -- and with no goal or perceptible strategic end-game. All to prove that Democrats are as tough as Republicans.

The proof is becoming expensive in both lives and treasure. Too expensive.

Let the pie-hats murder each other in the name of their barbaric god. It's time for the President to leave that dusty graveyard and turn our attention to our own country's problems. Last time I checked, we had a few.

It was the front page story in last week's Economist:

Maybe the MSNBC crew ought to check out that issue instead of wasting its wavering shower in the dust by pursuing Glenn Beck with pitchforks.

Note to Olberfuhrer: Afghanistan is a growing graveyard of American soldiers. Glenn Beck is a mormon with a crewcut. Compare and contrast level of national threat.

Sooner or later, reality is going to rise up and the left will eat itself raw.

So you are calling Obama a war monger?

And is he committing war crimes?

Damn him anyway, no wonder he said the war in Iraq was lost and did not support the surge that worked.

He has his mind on another war all along.

His only goal is to keep Americans on one foot so he can slide stuff by us without us knowing it and as long as he has us in a war "he" thinks we cannot win then he has an excuse waiting to use.

I am so glad that I have no idea what you are saying in this post. Given its general tone, however, I would recommend that you consider a name change.

President Obama had the opportunity to lead the American people through the threshold of a new era of peace, prosperity and new hope. Instead, Obama chooses to lead the American people though more years of war, revenge killings, anguish and U.S. casualties.

President Obama's decision to continue fighting and escalating the Afganistan war will be the downfall of his presidency and the reason Obama leaves the White House, with head bowed down toward the ground...in shame.

The Afghanistan situation has worsened considerably in the last six months.

And with the Obama administration now threatening CIA members, things only look to get worse.

There is nothing the teleprompter can do to alter the course in Afghanistan.

That will actually take some leadership...

You got it, tex. Obama's strategy appears to be: put the troops in a box and tell em to try to only shoot at the bad guys. In the meanwhile, the brain trust will think of something.

this whole afghanistan war is smoke and mirrors. remember when our government backed the taliban? the taliban leaders, due to their religious convictions, were destroying the poppy crops that produce the opium:
Afghanistan, Opium and the Taliban

now we have a story in the huffington post that the united states may pay afghan farmers to not grow poppies. REALLY?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/0..._n_242448.html

it seems like there is some misinformation somewhere.....
