Ohhhh, an opinion piece.
Now, I'm against all war at all time, but guess what...
It's an all volunteer force and these service members knew that we were at war when they enlisted.
BUSH started this war.
No one else.
Admit it, you just hate Obama and this in just another in a series of threads you've posted expressing your hatred in "opinion" pieces.
You do know what they say about opinions, don't you?
The sheer idiocy on this board continues to amaze me.
Bush attacks a country that was no threat to us - and the deaths of over 4000 of our military service members are on his hands. And someone comes up with a thread like this.
I am not quoting anyone. That is my opinion of the POTUS.
This is your uninformed, completely biased, and unintelligent opinion of the POTUS. And very few people care what you think, given your meager qualifications.
You also believe he is not a U.S. citizen and that healthcare does not need reformed.
We disagree on this, but we agree that Obama should bring the troops home.
Afghanistan is a neocon quagmire that was neglected far too long. If it ever had any chance of success it had to be seized upon in the first two years (or less).
Resentment to bogus elections and indiscriminate use of American firepower has entrenched opinion against U.S. forces, and there is no foundation on which to build anything other than corruption and clan rivalry
There is no way to use the military to undo the damage the neocons caused.
Right ...
So why is the White House thinking of sending in more troops?
So why is the White House thinking of sending in more troops?
Cause they seem to take their orders from the same folks who issued them to George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. Everyone knows this has Vietnam written all over it but money talks, and war = money.
So why is the White House thinking of sending in more troops?
It is possible to create problems for which there is no easy way out. Bush created quite a few, actually.
And with the rabid and stupid right dominating our political discourse - even though they are few in number - using guns and intimidation tactics, a number of problems have only lesser-of-two-evils solutions.
I don't agree with Obama on sending more troops. I don't think we have a clearly defined goal in Afghanistan. But I'm also not smart enough to say that we should just pull troops out, either.
However, I'm not stupid enough to blame Obama for being in this situation, either.
