Blatant sarcasm is over your head? Your the one who said that things like this happen in war. I agree. The OP seems to think Obamas being in office was going to change the basic premise of war and that incidents , such as this, could never happen on his watch. Quite misguided. What I don't understand is how anyone can find something like this to be so shocking. These are soldiers , at war. If they recieve orders to toss a hospital, they will do just that. If a convoy is taking fire, and a hospital is the only available cover, guess where they will entranch? The enemy we are fighting has NO qualms about blowing hospitals, orphanages, or any 'humanitarian' structures and personnel to tiny bits, if they think it will further their aims. Clear things up some?

Wisdom is in your words.
They did not enter and search a hospital in Downtown Richmond. They entered a hospital in a war zone. To look for an enemey that has no issues with using women and children as a shield.
They have no idea who the bad guys might be. It is smart to take no chances.

The charity group Swedish Committee for Afghanistan expressed outrage today in reporting a US attack on a remote hospital being operated by the group. The troops burst in to the hospital without explanation and conducted a full and rather violent search of the facility.

The troops reportedly tied up several employees and the family of some of the patients, ordered the bed-ridden patients out of their rooms and smashed down several doors, including the door to the malnutrition ward. They did not arrest anybody, but upon leaving ordered the staff to report anybody coming to the hospital to seek treatment before the treatment was provided.

NATO spokesmen confirmed the raid, but said they had no information about why it was done and refused to speculate. The United Nations cautioned that the raid was a potential violation of the Geneva Conventions, which insist that military personnel avoid operating inside medical facilities.

The charity says that the same hospital was involved in an incident in July, when private contractors escorting a supply convoy forced their way in and used the hospital to hide from insurgents.

A US helicopter also attacked a small medical clinic in Paktika Province last week on the basis of a report that a wounded insurgent might be inside.

Umm do you know that insurgents hide themselves and weapons in Hospitals/schools and other public places...Surely you are not that blinded by your left wingness to see this.

look at those "news sources" too... except for the yahoo news link, the others obviously have a specific agenda, especially ANTIWAR.COM... come on now, surely people know better than to get information from sources like that.
and it has been mentioned several times before, these fools hide in schools, hospitals, civilan homes, and anywhere else they think they'll be safe. Blame them, not the people that are trying to stop them from killing more of our people and other innocents.

BTW, note that only the first line of the yahoo news story says it was U.S. forces. It quickly turns to NATO and IMF forces after the attention getting lead. Big 'ol difference there and yet another example of halfa$$ed "journalism".

Oh, so I guess it's ok to attack their medical clinics and hospitals and bomb their civillians because the 'bad guys' might have weapons? We should not be in THEIR country doing any of those things, we should be tending to our own business, but maybe your 'right WINGNESS' prevents you from seeing that.

I've heard Osama Bin Laden and friends is open to negotiations but first they want you to bring them some milk and cookies. Let us know how that works out for you.

Had you acted in such educated manner when Bush was going to war...for the untouchable WMDs and the star link between the missing Ben and the crazy arab...There would have been no war to end today.
