No matter which political party, when the president addresses congress, members of his political party brown nose him with repeated standing applause ever few statements the president makes while those of the other party sit on their hands even if he says something good. First, they take up prime time programing for this political grand standing and boot licking. Second, all this repeated applause takes up too much time and, in my opinion, is not only unnecessary but makes the people doing the repeated applause look like politicians who only do what's best for the party instead of what's best for the country. Actually, it makes them look like well trained dogs performing tricks for the treats they hope to get in pork projects and re-election money. This is why I haven't watched the President address Congress live (see highlights later). Seeing such actions makes me sick.
