The attached cite is a story from a newspaper in Sweeden that gives accounts of Palestinians being killed by Israeli soldiers and then their organs being harvested to be sold on the black market. Pretty scary stuff.
I didn't realize the human organ black market was as described in this article. I would like to see other news agencies and or governments investigate these kinds of allegations.
Nancy Scheper-Hughes, an anthropology professor at the University of California at Berkeley and the author of an upcoming book on human organ trafficking, said that she has been tracking the Brooklyn-connected ring for 10 years and that her contacts in Israel have called Rosenbaum “the top man” in the United States.
Donor says he got thousands for his kidney - CNN.com Rosen's story is one of several that have come to light in recent weeks as part of a worldwide CNN investigation into what appears to be a widespread black market in human organs currently under scrutiny by authorities in the United States and Israel.
I haven't read anything about kidnapping Palestinians and stealing body parts, but apparently there is every indication that there is a fast growing black market for human organs and Israel is neck deep in it. (no pun intended)
I haven't read anything about kidnapping Palestinians and stealing body parts
that is kind of the important part of the story. there's a huge difference between there being an organ black market that has players in israel and israeli soldiers kidnapping palestinians and killing them for their organs.
Yes, I think this story definitely needs to be investigated... I don't know about the authenticity as there isn't much news collaboration of harvesting Palestinian organs... I have seen organ harvesting before and those pictures are pretty accurate of what a body would look like after harvesting... if so, it is particularly disturbing...
Al Roth, the Harvard economist whose work on matched-pair organ donations has started to transform the organ-transplantation scenario, told me he found the accusation unbelievable because of the logistics of organ harvesting itself. “Organs don’t last very long and have to be matched rather particularly,” he said, “so it would be hard to take them on spec for an international market. So I think black market organs must mostly be from live donors. Live donors can take blood tests well in advance and travel to where the patient is. Deceased organs have to be put on ice, and the clock starts ticking immediately and fast.
