Ok..we'll come back and let you know when they decide that it went over so well they will do it each and every morning. We'll let you know then so you can decide if it's a big or small problem.

'know, I don't think it was the least bit appropriate, but I hate the thought of a good teacher being fired. I have kids and I'm reconciled to the fact that they will learn things in school that I vehemently disagree with. That's my opportunity as a parent to present the other (right!) side, teach him about polite disagreement, and instill the fundamental value of kissing butt while believing the superior is outta his/her mind.

Speaking of Christmas, while in the 3rd grade, I got to play a toy soldier during our Christmas play ... I remember the event like it was yesteray and it happened over 50 years ago ...

Children have memories like a steel trap ... Once you put something in the vault ... it stays forever.

I can remember more of went on from 1st grade through the 8th grade better than I can my 7 years of college.

Yes. You do that. And then I'll take it seriously.

In the meantime, the country is full of wingnuts throwing hissy fits about every little thing, and encouraging anti-government sentiment. It's really happening - unlike the fantasy conspiracy theory that you are spinning. When will you take that seriously?

Yes, I did hear that. But it's my own words, not his.

I also heard the right-wing Rollins agree with Carville. The decent conservatives are starting to get fed up with the crazy ones.

Oh really? This kind of hysterical over-reaction is much closer to what gets people sent to mental institutions.

In my opinion, this sort of thing has gone on, is going on, and will continue to go on.

Even though I'm an Obama supporter, I don't really think this is kosher.... BUT am I crazy, or did I hear somewhere that some school did a similar thing for GW Bush??
