that did not have a thing to do with black history
that was shoe licking for Barack Obama
A group of kids singing an Obama Song last February is causing a stir again after MSNBC's Norah O'Donnell defended the tribute on the air. During BlackHistory Month 2009, 20 children at B. Bernice Young Elementary School in New Jersey were videotaped singing a song of praise to the first African-American president of the United States, Barack Obama.

Good for him. It's time that people started standing up to the stupid wingnuts who are perpetrating fake hissy fits over anything they can. They are an embarrassment to this country.
I haven't watched the video yet, and won't either. Because one thing I've learned is that if the Glenn Beck morons of this country think it's a problem, then it's most likely a great idea. They have zero credibility, and even less personal integrity.

Watch the video. And if it doesn't creep you out then I fear for what's happening to our nation.
the question is do you want children having to sing ANY government leader's praises in a classroom? that whole concept is rather creepy.....
I can see where you are coming from with this, but if we are going to teach kids about the system of government--which schools are required to do--isn't it inevitable that some respect will have to be paid to the occupant of the Oval Office? What else are they going to tell the kids--we have the greatest system of government in earth, and by the way, the people who run everything are *******s? Is that realistic?

Sorry. One song at one school seven months ago during Black History Month and celebrating the election of our first black President is, frankly, the smallest problem ever.
Those creating a stink about this are the problem.
