Someone is confusing conservativism with republicanism. One doesn't equal the other. Republicans are no more conservative than Democrats are liberal.

There you go. That's liberals' primary problem. They don't understand that all branches of the government are supposed to preserve the original intent of our founding documents.

While you are free to live and have sex with whomever you want under our system, no one looking back at original intent would say that gay people deserve a tax break for creating a "new family unit". Also, regarding abortion, murder has never been sanctioned in civil society (until the West decayed).
