You know, I wouldn't pretend to understand the wingnut mind. I wouldn't make a thoroughly stupid comment like "Even conservatives realize that we dodged a bullet with McCain/Palin." That would be asinine.

It's funny that wingnuts have no ability to avoid such stupidity. They open their mouths and the idiocy just flows right out of them.

Oh. Election paraphernalia disappears after the election. Strange. And that earie silence. Nobody notified you that they were taking down their posters. Really strange.

Talk about idiocracy.
Really? Provide an example.

You can't because you're lying.

He won the election because voters had no idea what he was willing to do. "Hope and change" to them meant what *they* hoped for. They had no clue what it meant to Obama - no clue that "fundamentally changing the country" meant, in essence, removing any reason for hope and change and substituting, instead, placid obedience under the yoke of the Government.

People heard what they wanted to hear.

Want a snow balls chance in hell to win back the Whitehouse, find a candidate that actually has some ideas and is not just another whiner with no plans just more rhetoric. The American voter has caught on to the same old smear tactics and it no longer works except with their own faithful sheep.
Either the right is part of the solution or part of the problem, if they remain the later they will remain on the sidelines.
Casper

I typically refer to Obama as a Halfrica-American but referred to him as black this time for the sake of the discussion since most liberals and blacks consider him black and he refers to himself as black.

I just agreed with sickofnyc on another thread that we do indeed need campaign finance reform to help control the unprecedented influence buying that is taking place right now with campaign contributions and advocacy ads being funded by pharma, AARP, AMA, unions and the hospital industry. They have all seeming made their respective deals with the White House regarding health care reform and are actively promoting what should be the last thing they want.

Face it. The fix is already in. If you believe what you hear from these people about "new ideas", I would think you are likely a young person since most of what has been proposed is a rehash of old liberal ideas marketed as "hope" and "change", but it's the same failed policies that have never worked previously.

Just look at the financial mess we are in now. Most of what got us here (NAFTA, permanent MFNTS for China, CRA, GLBA and the repeal of Glass-Steigall) were Clinton's initiatives. They were sold to the country as great ideas, but had disastrous consequences.

Smear tactics?

You can't be serious.

YouTube - Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, and Democrats are Clueless on Freddie Mac Fannie Mae and the financial credit crisis.

Bush and McCain tried to stop this run away train going back to 2003 when Bush sent Snow up to capital Hill to lobby for a replacement for OFHEO. That was a new idea and would have prevented our current financial collapse.

Take it up with your liberal friends who are smart enough to now realize Obama isn't anything except the same sort of prototypical corrupt politician that has been in DC for decades.

I don't know anybody who ever thought President Obama was anything but a moderate centrist politician.

You seem to think there is some other kind of Obama supporter out there. I guess you should be the one to "take it up" with them.

They can't see that because it doesn't fit in with their 'my side, your side' false paradigm. It's entirely possible that they'll never be capable of moving beyond it.
