Obama did say he planned to focus on Afghanistan. I assumed he had a plan. Clearly he did not and does not have a plan. Under these circumstances the right thing to do is to bring our men and women home from both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Obama really doesn't ahve many good choice. This chipoce maybe the most hisdtorical of his presidency as far as historians if he is to be remmeber as more than the first black president. He had already stated fiorm position on afganistan so a change without success will doom his foreign policy record.

It wasn't just your post. It is the posts I read on every thread. I am amazed at how comfortable people seem to feel about passing judgement on and making assumptions about complete strangers based on what the person posts. Did it occur to you that this person might be elderly with impaired vision?

Doom?

The only thing that will "doom" the record of his foreign policy is whether or not the final outcome was disadvantageous or not.

Perhaps provide the resources to win it?

What needs to be done is to pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan, but yes you are right, he is delaying the approprite actions.

If Obama cannot make a timely decision when the lives of men and women are at stake, he is failing in his role as Commander in Chief in my opinion.
