While I think some people are definitely filled with a little too much hatred towards mexicans, and for unfounded reasons. The real problems we have in the world today in terms of immigration has to do with differences in culture. I have known and understood the problem for a while, but I watched this video the other day that really makes it more clear.
You may or may not agree with me, but we are a European society. Founded on European principles and beliefs. The United States has also always been an English speaking society. We are also a Christian society. We have been a dominantly Anglo-Saxon/Western European society since the beginning. This is the foundation of American culture. Primarily a mix of many European nations. While its a melting pot, its mostly full of pretty like-minded individuals.
Many people are worried about our culture dramatically changing in the future. Immigration is part of it, but a big part of it has to do with the number of children we are having. Many Africans, Middle-easterners, and Asians are having many many more children than white Europeans/Americans.
These countries have always had larger populations than our own. But those people from other cultures used to stay in their own countries. With Immigration and "globalization", our country is being overloaded with outsiders. And while the white population is mostly stagnant or declining, these other cultures have far more children, so their populations are rising fast.
Mexicans are christians(Catholics), but they do not speak English, and they are not Anglo-saxons. For the most part they aren't really European. Although something like 70% have some origins of Spanish blood.
Mexican culture is not our culture, and since their fertility rates are much higher than our own(even the mexicans that already live here). Their culture will eventually take over ours if things stay as they currently are.
But Mexicans are actually the least of our problems. You can almost call them our saviors compared to what awaits us overseas. The muslim populations are growing much faster than the Mexican population. And while we have had a huge influx into our own country, Europe is getting taken over.
You know that lady in Arkansas that has 18 kids? Well I was doing some math, and if all 18 of her kids had 18 kids each, and their kids had 18 each, and so on. And if you were to say that a generation was 20 years. Then about 100 years from today that single family would have roughly 36 million people alive that are directly related to that mother.
Right now muslim households in Britain have around 8 children each on average. In the same 100 years with the same methodology having 8 children each. A current family will expand to almost 300,000. It would only take about 200 such immigrant households to match the current population of England.
Since the white christian population of the world has basically stopped growing. The only way to stop the eventual overtaking of our culture, is either to encourage people to have more kids(a lot more kids), or to block all immigration into our country(and possibly reverse some of it).
