Although China has a lot invested in the US, China's pride in being the strongest nation (as was seen during the Olympics last year) will overcome their need to recover any debt the US owes them.
That depends on how uppity we get.
This is a real crisis that makes all the hysterical crap about gays destroying family values and Muslims infiltrating us everywhere seem comical. And both major parties have brought us to this horrible point.
Ron Paul molests libertarianism & spews bs conspiracy theories
He is a clown. Repubs & Dems in his district must unite to bring him down...
Every political scandal started as a "conspiracy theory".
Once a conspiracy is actually proven beyond anyone's doubt (q.v. Credit Mobilier, Teapot Dome, the McCallum memo, the Gulf of Tonkin, Watergate, Iran-Contra), nobody remembers that it too began as a "conspiracy theory".

love it...repubs and dems alike are scared to death of what a man like Ron Paul could do with this country.
the problem with what you're asking is, the dems and repubs aren't exactly ready to unite...you're too busy proving you're right and the other side is wrong...all the while, your empty suites in office are vacationing and playing golf with our loot. wake up bud...
He's a quirky guy, but he's smart. Interesting article no doubt.
Its common sense. Doesn't require a genius to figure that out. When people feel oppressed, and find themselves cornered, they will react violently. Hence the need to have a balance in society. Interestingly enough, most of Ron Paul's ideology actually goes against creating and maintaining that balance. He prefers that everything be left to the invisible hand, and things will be alright.

The real thinkers of the forum know the problems transcend more than one Administration. Who do you think sold us down river and why?
We sold ourselves down the river by ignoring Eisenhower's warning about the undue influence of the military-industrial compliex. Congress was sold to special interest groups many years ago, the bill's coming due and it ain't gonna be pretty.
Next stage in your evolution will be to figure out who finances the military-industrial complex and both sides of most wars too.
Let me guess: the FR and the central banks. They make sure everyone has arms as long as they get their interest.
