See how that works?

Clinton the war criminal and rapist?

He was to blame for 9/11, although I am sure you think that it is the fault of Bush

Haha, because of course it was Clinton ignoring intel (given after he was out of office) that was the problem.

Israel was/is to blame for 9/11. More accurately, the U.S.'s coddling of Israel and affirming their actions by monetary support and arms shipments. I didn't see 9/11 coming exactly but I knew something was going to blow vis a vis our preferential handling of Israel. Our response should have been to back off from the entire mess but locking down the American people gave the control freaks in the Pentagon what they always wanted: the license to run roughshod over the Constitution and repeal Civil Liberties and receive the gratitude of the American people for their perfidy.

Anyone who really knows economics can reply...

Regardind the ever accumulating debt, can the US gov legally...forgive it,someway, somehow, without consequences to the dollar ?
Obviously that debt is never going to be paid back,so...?

It seems that many of you still haven't cottoned on to the fact that the old days are over.
Finito.

The power base has shifted east : and the only way in which you country can retain some level of economic progress is for each of you to roll up yer sleeves, work harder and work smarter.

We all live in a new paradigm.
Greetings,

The above is a most interesting post and perhaps more of an assumed opinion than some folks realize !

The "Old Days" ..... "Power Base" and such mentioned by Indurain may appear to be "Gone" by some political factions and citizens ..... and of course thats okay and they have a right to that opinion !

Perhaps upon closer examination of those millions of American Citizens whom are "Fed Up" with the current Washington "Political Circus" and those minority "Special Interests" folks who for now are continuing to dominate the issues and policy makers in the Congress and Senate..... The opinion is vastly different !!!

Indeed the "Old Days" are "Not Over" ..... Do not discount the "Proud" and "Resolute" American People regarding this matter ! Our People have weathered "Terrible Storms" before and have been "Victorious" in the face of so many historical trials and tribulations ! We still retain the "Envy" of most of the globe due to our "Liberties" and our enemies remain at a distance for the tiime being !

Don't ever make the mistake of discounting the most "Formidable Will" of the "American Patriot" ..... Many folks through history have made that mistake and have paid dearly for their "Folly" !

Let Freedom Ring ! And in this dynamic endeavour we will "Work Extremely Hard" ..... {Per Inurain's Post} America First !
Thank You / Lamar

The debt is ours! It is not ours to forgive! Your question, more accurately posed, would be: is it someway, somehow, without consequences to the dollar possible to have our debt forgiven? What do you think? I agree, however, the debt is never going to be paid back, so...

What? Hmmm. Maybe the debt 'could' be restructured at massive consequence to the dollar. Massive. Maybe the U.S. will one day simply refuse to service the debt anymore and threaten a nuclear strike on any creditor nation that attempts punitive action. There is precedent for this. I don't know the details of the defaults in the Latin American world but the written accounts of those transitions might provide answers for you.

It's more like thank you Bush for all those unecessary tax cuts and getting us into two completely useless wars.
