She has a point. Fox hires T&A. It's one thing if a woman is both beautiful and intelligent but some of the people Fox hires really only have beauty. People don't realize how competitive those jobs are and there are plenty of women who are beautiful, smart and accomplished vying for those jobs. Many of Fox's anchors are really not that impressive from an academic perspective. Take for example. Megyn Kelly. She went to ALBANY law school! Most don't realize that Albany Law is one of the easiest law schools to get into in the country and it's considered a 4th tier program meaning it's probably ranked beyond 150. Fox really couldn't hire one with more impressive academic credentials that is also beautiful? I feel some of Fox's anchors are beautiful and accomplished but most of them are not. Soledad O'brien, from CNN, is a Harvard alum and she is beautiful. There are many like Soledad
I enjoy watching Rachel Maddow. I enjoy her perspective and self-depreciating sense of humor, and as has been mentioned it is not easy to find female journalists of substance on television. I could care less what they look like, as long as they do their job. Christiane Amanpour and Soledad O’Brien are also excellent. One of my favorites, despite having a somewhat messy personal life is Lara Logan, and the piece she did on Afghanistan was incredible.
I find her attractive - not in a beauty-queen style like the Fox News women, but in a comfortable, down-to-earth way.
There was a time when being a news anchor included sometimes going out on location to report a story and then even writing the copy for it that they read on air. News anchors are news readers now, which makes being among the beautiful people crowd, at least one of the job requirements (and they're all like that....not just Fox). That's less the case when they actually do investigative journalism (because they don't just read script on air....it's not their primary job) but, it still is to a point.
Did you ever see a television reporter (male or female) doing a report live on location? They have so much make-up on, that they protect their clothes with tissues that they pull off at the last second before broadcasting.

You really are slanted left aren't you?? Either that or you really don't watch FOX.
Those women are highly intelligent. and they don't look like boys either.
No ...Maddow TRIES to look like a dude. If she would try to be a female, she could pass for kinda cute.
How about this brilliant idea: She's being herself. She doesn't live to please people who have narrow concepts of what a woman should look like. Shocking, I know.
She fabricates and lies, just like the pundits the left constantly bashes. What is it with liberals that they are so brainwashed by the lefty fringe pundits that they think they are honest? Sheeple...
