Never understood them. I guess that does more harm than good for themselves. Perhaps if they keep it all private, people will have a different outlook.
How can you keep it private when those people are exhibitionists? Gays have all kinds you know. Too bad some have the need to act out.

Ah, so we should compare ourselves to Muslim countries' laws? I guess I'd rather look at countries who have similar living conditions to the U.S. if I'm going to make comparisons.
I don't particularly advocate democracy. I don't really like the swinish masses making decisions on subjects they haven't the faintest idea about. America was established as a free society with a republican government--not a "democracy".
Every victory for decent treatment of minorities in this country's history--black, brown, red, Asian, gay, whatever--has been in defiance of the furious resistance of the "democratic" majority.
Advocate democracy? I never have in my life. **** democracy!

There are plenty of homosexuals in Muslim countries, genius. My uncle told me tales of cavorting on beaches in Morocco that would've gotten him arrested in Spain (which is not exactly a homophobic place).
The only Muslim country where people are routinely condemned to death for homosexuality as such is our old ally, Saudi Arabia. Our other ally, Pakistan, might perhaps be second on the list.

Uh, no, we did that already, remember? It was called the closet, and it wasn't exactly a great time for homosexuals. I, for one, have no interest in returning to those days. Maybe you do. Of course, judging by your comments, I have to assume that it's likely you're a heterosexual who has absolutely no empathy for those who aren't 100% heterosexual.
Settle down. I'm a straight married guy who doesn't want to deny others the same opportunities I've had.
You had the opportunity to parade around naked and do sexual acts in public? Maybe in the future but I think a straight guy would be arrested for doing what gay guys get away with now.
So tell me how homosexuals are treated in Muslim countries? Are they accepted as anyone else? I don't think so.
