Should a President of the USA bow to any foreign leader?
Personally, I don't think any President of the USA should bow. It's one thing if they bow towards each other, (would be like us shaking hands, but with Obama bowing only it shows a sign of being subservient.

Who cares? I just looked at my calander and it wasn't 1945. If this is what conservatives are infatuating themselves with, re-election will be a cakewalk.
Is there really outrage or is it just your take MPBsr? Maybe you haven't noticed but the fight hasn't been going all that well for America. That can happen when you are punch drunk. Going forward, a more subservient posture rather than the Superpower braggadocio might be in order because we have nuked our economy big time and we are going to be owned by Asia. The entire world is recovering from the financial meltdown we caused but we are ourselves still shedding jobs at 300,000/mo. Think about that. I know, I know, its hard to think diplomatically when you have been used to acting like a schoolyard bully for 300 years but times they really are a changin'.

I actually have no problem with Obama bowing, but I would prefer that any other president of the US in the future would not. It is very symbolic in my mind.
I really can't believe people actually give 2 second's thoughts to this. What's he supposed to do give him a custom handshake and chest bump? It's Japanese custom and it's respectful. Better than giving him the finger and kicking him in the scrotom like some of these conservatives would've wanted him to.
Like I said, if this is what conservatives are wrapping themselves around, re-election will be a cakewalk. Obama won't even have to campaign.
