Obama and his associates clearly stated not to have the burden up for people making less than $ 250K, which we already knew was a lie...but he called it taxes and by changing increases to be called fees he is still the same "honest" man he always was, too bad that the people making less and also the people making more all will be having less to spent...
In Florida the fees for renewal of your drivers license went up from $ 15.- to $ 20.- last year...now under Obama it went from $ 20.- up to $ 48.- + fees $ 6.25...which makes it a total of $ 54.25 per drivers license!!!
How can people with lower incomes pay for all this, some people have kids they have to pay for as well and if the kids can't drive to school, work or else where, they parents have to drive them...which might be during their working hours.
Some might say, well it is only more than doubled and you don't need a drivers license every few months...but other fees have increased as well...
Another example is that foreigners on a visa or a tourist visa who live here most of the year...Yeah some people do live here since they love being here but don't have a visa other than being able to come here stay for 3 months go some place else and come back again...yeah they do stimilate the economy since they own a car and ins. for which they need a drivers license and due to 9/11 they can only get one for the time they legally are here. My friends have to obtain a new drivers license over here every 3 months! That is 2 person's x $ 54.25 every 3 months which is $ 325.50 if they renew 3 x a year which they are doing right now...before it was $120.-
They have their own home, pay property taxes, buy clothes, food, gas, etc. over here, have HO ins., car ins. etc...
How long will it take before people like this...and there are many foreigners in Fl. in the same situation..., will keep paying for this and still enjoying this country...when I speak to them, they are clearly thinking of selling everything and move else where...so more people leaving and spending their money else where...does that means the fees will go up even more?

Due to the Dem. demanding that every person should be able to buy a home and get a mortage we are in this mess over here...Obama has only makes the deficit bigger and due to that all fees have increased!

I don't know about your area of Florida but Oraneg county was telling people well before Obama was elected that the prices were going to go up. When I renewed my tag in April of 08 they tried to talk me into doing it for two years because they said the fees were going up...of course it is more fun to pretend that Obama is the reason for rising prices....

The taxes may not be direct, but if electricity rates skyrocket those increases will be passed to the consumer. If cuts are made to Medicare, and increases to sate funded unemployment are forced on them, states like FL will pass the costs on to us thru new taxes and/or fees.

Honey, your fees are due to the deficit that Bush racked up. It takes awhile for increased fees to be enacted. Don't forget to pay a little something extra to pay for Bush's Iraq war!

I hate to point out the obvious error in your response, that the war isnt being paid for by tax revenue, its being paid for by borrowing, just like almost every new program/entitlement the government does..

You nailed it! That is exactly what is happening and going to happen...even our utility company is calling on the people to speak out against cap & trade since they don't want to increase our bills, but have to if it will be signed into law. Just writing to our State Senators isn't helping because other State Senator's will be voting on the bill which in the end will be signed by the so called Mesiah who is nothing more than a spender of other peoples money and lying about increase costs!
If he was against it he will not sign it, but he will...anything for which he can put his name under and take another pen in his hand...is making a "nice" photo-op for this president who clearly get's a kick of being on tv, magazine, anything to have his name out and doesn't care about the people who can't afford the normal things in life and due to that others will loose their job...and foreigners will pass this country to live in other countries and that way they won't spend their money over here....
