Sounds to me like she totally misrepresented what is in the book and is blaming the author of the book for what a crazed regime is doing. Completely ridiculous.

She didn't misrepresent the book. She even asked the author to correct anything she may have said about the book, including reading him passages out of his text and giving him time to explain what he wrote.
