Can you go state by state, telling me which areas are still Southern, and which have been taken over by transplants? I am curious.

Generally the built up well educated areas have most of the transplants...

Northern VA, & the Research Triangle have the most, the Richmond, and Charlotte areas have quite a bit as well.

I've lived in Nashville, Orlando, and Miami.....Miami of coarse has people from all over Latin America and the Caribbean and south America, but i knew lots of people who grew up there and still live there.....Orlando is a very transient place having people from up north from puerto rico and from the midwest all over orlando ...i rarely met anyone from Orlando that grew up there and still lives there....Nashville has alot of people from all over the U.S. too but more locals compared to Orlando.

Texas has alot of California and Arizona transplants. They mostly stay within the big cities though.

You haven't been following the news about people fleeing their high cost, no more jobs, house not worth a crap, empty coffer states for the ones not doing so bad ?

Why down here in Austin I've just about seen over 40 different state license plates in the past 12 months as they all fled for greener pastures and hopeful to get jobs. But, alas, the foreclosures are happening here too.

South Florida
Atlanta Metro
Dallas/Houston/Austin/San Antonio
Charlotte/Cary/Raleigh(maybe)
NOVA/Norfolk/large chunks of Eastern VA
Possibly Nashville

I'm not worried, I prefer small towns anyway.

don't have stats, but from what I know I would guess: Florida, followed by Texas and yes, Arkansas. Most of the people in NWA are from other places.
