Another issue with the governing party.

Pelosi's reluctance to lobby for an Afghan surge appropriation reflects the deep divisions within the Democratic Party over Obama's decision to send more troops to Afghanistan . That, coupled with lukewarm public support — in the latest Pew Research Center for the People & the Press survey, only 51 percent of the respondents said they support the surge — suggests that support for the administration's Afghan policy is brittle, at best.

I loved the part about the woman from California talking about no more money. It is nothing but talk and she will come around easily when it comes time.

Do you remember how the Dems squealed and howled about supporting the troops but not the mission in Iraq? Somehow they always said that just before they voted to keep them going. All that needs doing is to send the troops to Afghanistan and the Dems have to go along since to leave them stranded without food, clothing, and working weapons would be the very essence of traitorous behavior. They will go along when the time comes.

There is even a Pew poll quoted there that says 51% of us approve of that surge and that used to be a majority.
