So does thie mean will they now be entitled to the "full range of rights"? Only if in American waters?

Very interesting --- I think we will be surprised at just how many other lowly animals are deserving of 'personhood' as science progresses to the point where such things are better understood.

Only free healthcare coverage after paying a $10,000 deductible first.

I love Dolphins, and have been up close and personal with them, if anyone has swam with the dolphins, you would know just how intellignet they are. Dolphins have always been known to be very fast learners. The baby Calves stay with there Mothers for years, getting all the training that they can to help them on there own. They do communicate with each other. The Dolphins they say have been known to help helpless Humans from the Great White
They have saved humans from drowning They are just remarkable, and fun, and smarter then some people i do know. And yes they do learn new ideas and concepts pretty darn fast, it is very exciting to watch them. Are they smarter then humans, i don't know, Dolphins are also known to protect each other. I think they are smarter then some people.

How smart can they be? They never evolved far enough to grow feet and walk on land yet, much less develop the opposable thumb. but this is encouraging news, maybe eventually these same scientists will classify an unborn child as “non-human persons". So there's that.
